However, it might well be the Tonda watch that most envision as the definitive model of the brand. Elegant, yet with a twist, the Tonda is characterised by its subtle elegance and some rather original design elements – such as the teardrop lugs, which have become a signature element for PF. Recently, the brand appointed Guido Terreni as its new CEO, a man with a wealth of experience in the luxury watchmaking field, specifically in the genre of luxury sports watches with integrated design. And the first collection presented under his direction was precisely that, a watch combining a sporty-chic design, traditional PF codes and a unique sense of restrained, understated luxury… and that is something you don’t often see in this specific field of the industry.

Creating the Tonda PF collection was challenging. Merging the classic codes of the brand, namely the teardrop-shaped lugs and fluted bezel, with modernity and casualness isn’t that natural at first. The result, which took the shape of an entire collection of four inaugural models, has made quite an impact. And, importantly, while respecting most of the codes of the luxury sports category, the Tonda PF feels unique and typical Parmigiani…
